Founder of Cosol St. Lucia Tours
Nereus Francis
Nereus Francis, nicknamed "Cosol" was the founder of Cosol St. Lucia Tours. He was also one of the drivers/guides on the tours, and he overwhelmed everyone with St. Lucian hospitality. A St. Lucian born in 1967, Nereus was a high energy, friendly, courteous and a dedicated individual. Nereus wanted to see that every visitor has the time of their life on his excursions. He started Cosol St. Lucia Tours in 2002 with the aim of providing visitors to the island, a chance to satisfyingly experience the best attractions in St. Lucia during their brief stay.
The nick name "Cosol" comes from the patois name for the sop. It's a tropical fruit normally shaped like a heart with rough green skin and soft spikes. The white fleshy inside is very sweet and juicy when ripe. The sop can be eaten or used to produce a creamy juice that looks like milk.
Arrangements for St. Lucia Tours
Our tour guides/drivers will greet you directly outside the cruise port duty free shops. If you're an on-island guest, your tour guide will pick you up at your hotel. It is important to note that our guides/drivers will be holding up a sign saying "COSOL" so you can quickly identify them. Our comfortable, air-conditioned tour minibuses will be ready to accommodate you. Car seats are available for toddlers. Special arrangements are made to handle large groups and private tours. All tour guides/drivers are knowledgeable, friendly and courteous and are ready to be of excellent service to you from the start.
The full day all inclusive tour duration is approximately 5.5 to 6 hours but custom tours can also be arranged if you contact us. The Cosol St. Luica Tours full day all inclusive excursion includes all entrance fees (for sites/stops where required). Food and beverages are also included: Homemade Island Coconut Cookies, Sweet Ripe Bananas, Johnny cakes, Homemade Island Coconut Cakes, Local Banana Ketchup, and Savory Fish Cakes. Beverages offered include: Rum Punch, Local Beer, Water, and Sodas.
